Its the round connector on the left.
The one on the lift point may be a parallel connection for testing, I'm not near my 924S wiring diagram at the moment to verify this. _________________ White 87 924S "Ghost"

For clarification, 'on the left' means driver's side?
Already up on ramps and sensor being dosed with penetrating oil. _________________ New first time 1987 924S owner - April 2016

New O2 sensor installed. Was hoping the old one might have Made in W. Germany stamped on it, confirming it was the original. It's stamped Made in Germany, with 743 05 1 020 and 0 258003011
Do any of those indicate a date?

Hopefully the O2 sensor has helped with your issue.
I have gotten 20 mpg before but I had a bad O2 and I was going a lot of spirited driving. Since then I usually get any where from 25-29 mpg. I just filled up today and averaged 26 mpg for that tank. I had done a lot of spirited driving with only 200 miles highway. I also ran the A/C the entire time. During my last fill up I got 29 mpg, which was mostly highway and I didn't run the A/C much.
I hope that helps! _________________ '84 944 -White, Brown interior

Thanks!
So are you saying you changed your O2 sensor, and afterwards your mpg improved? _________________ New first time 1987 924S owner - April 2016

Hard to say for sure. I only know that I started tracking my mileage a few months ago and was shocked to see such bad economy. As a precaution I ended up swapping in a new sensor and it hasn't been that bad since. We were tooling around the woods of Virginia last weekend and I still managed an average 26 mpg.
I hope that helps! _________________ '84 944 -White, Brown interior

It'll be a while before I can report back with results...... _________________ New first time 1987 924S owner - April 2016
