What is an upgrade to the stock style spark plug wires that do not appear to be good enough for the 45k vs 30k spark of a MSD6 box and Blaster coil? _________________ Mike

I've always been happy with the Kingsborn wires... _________________ Vaughan Scott

Talked to Kingsborne today and they said that their solid core wires will not work with the MSD6AL ignition box. The solid core puts out too much electrical interference for the ignition box. MSD confirms, no solid core wires. _________________ Mike

The saga continues. I bought a "universal" set of spiral wound wires from Pegasus racing as they generally carry stuff that works. These were by Taylor Cable(Pertronix). The looked good on arrival and much better than any stock product however they didn't include the angle connectors that are needed for our distributor and the distributor cap boots don't fit apparently new distributors have smaller diameter posts. After calling Pegasus they said that sometime back Taylor had stopped including those parts without telling them. But they found on the shelf an old set for a V8 that had them and are sending it to me.
Many of their sets are now listed out of stock as they cater to the Formula Ford/Sports2000 crowd in particular so they Taylor parts probably won't fit any of the old Bosh systems, I have no idea about Lucas. Pegasus is probably on the hunt for a new supplier. _________________ Mike

Yeah, Pegasus has excellent customer service - but their focus is for sure formula cars! I use them for a lot of stuff for my prototype... _________________ Vaughan Scott
