All is well.. All back to normal and running fine..
Got it stuck for the first time the other day after a hard rain that softened up a swampy spot where I was gold panning in a river.. Pulled right out though..
Most annoying thing now is my door windows rattling when I close the doors with the windows down..
Still dding..
Car is awesome..
Suspension is all tight and proving to be quite durable.. The crap I drive on beats most vehicle suspensions up pretty quick.. Roads aren’t great here and can’t avoid all the dirt roads.. _________________ 80 Turbo - Slightly Modified

5 short poems surdas
Oops...
Only found a few gold flakes there though..
Actually I was panning/sluicing that day and left my stuff down there by the river.. at the campsite later at about 2-3am I decided I wanted my machete to make more firewood, so went to get it in the middle of the night from that spot, pulled in too far trying to shine my lights down there, and got stuck..
Walked back to camp for the night with the machete..
Had a girl with me.. She didn’t mind the walk back in the dark, danced by the fire for the rest of the night till the sun started coming up in nothing but her night gown, and called in a rescue vehicle when we eventually woke up the next day..
Sometimes slight mishaps like this can just add to the adventure
Had a really great camp spot wayyy far away from anyone else for 3 days down there.. Good thing too because we raised a bit of hell, lol.. We’re not very quiet courteous campers..
Was a blast..
Making memories I will never forget.. _________________ 80 Turbo - Slightly Modified |

Have LSD, works great.. Still got stuck that once, lol..
I’m not super mean to it like beat the crap out of it, but yeah I’m using it, and it’s impressing me..
Its not like I take it purposely to go off-roading, but my destinations usually involve being out there somewhere.. _________________ 80 Turbo - Slightly Modified |

So i bit the bullet over the weekend and bought a Merc V8 FD. I am not expecting to move too fast with this initially. Too much other stuff to take care of beforehand. Starting to acquire what I need for the early Spring start. Finding a decent FD has been the issue so I started there _________________ 1980 931 since 1989

Awesome man!
Have you talked to Steve/Reanimotion at all about getting the DPR module for the MS?
Did you get the external fuel pressure regulator with your distributor? The merc injector lines? A DPR on your distributor? And you did get the whole merc AFM right?
I don’t know how you plan on installing yours, but I really like the way I made an adaptor to mount the whole merc upper afm to the 931 lower afm on all its stock mounting points.. I think it worked awesome!!
I think I’ll make a little video about how I made all the lines and stuff work here in a bit..
I don’t know if I should be surprised I’ve never had any fuel line leaks or not, but I haven’t somehow.. _________________ 80 Turbo - Slightly Modified |

I have not yet spoken with Reanimotion since I wasn't expecting to get the FD this weekend but it presented itself It seems to have everything but the actual DPR module (EHA). The guy removed it. Otherwise it has everything else. It was more the history it had and that it was reasonably complete that caught my attention. Of course I will be looking at your install closely. Bottom half is there too

Wow!
Almost perfect!
Having all those merc fuel lines was a HUGE bonus for me to be able to make it all work.. Looks like you are only missing the merc fuel input line and the return line the comes off of the pressure regulator..
Should be able to find it make those somehow..
Af far as the DPR they are expensive new, but as far as I know their failure mode is just to leak, so a used one should be fine as long as it doesn’t leak..
Also their are black DPRs and grey DPRs, and you need a black one..
I’m excited for you!
My merc FD is not so great at being even at very low flow, so I’m not sure if the best way to get you on the same base tune with the AFR screw, but other than that my fuel map should be pretty darn close for yours too other than mostly the idle area as I have to idle pretty rich for all my cylinders to hit smoothly..
Have a video uploading for you.. _________________ 80 Turbo - Slightly Modified |
