|
|
Folks: I found my 1980 924 NA running rough, so I went under the far to check the 02 sensor. I found that it plugged into small plastic cylinder mounted on the cross member. But the connector was broken and hence, the O2 sensor disconnected.
What is the function of the cylinder? Do I need it? Could I just by pass it and hard wire the O2 to the wiring harness directly?
If I need it, where do I get it?

If I remember correctly its just a connector to make changing it out easier. My car had both factory ends so i just soldered in a new 02 to the old connector. _________________ 1982 931- Stock with MBC at 8psi
Relax, all right? My old man is a television repairman, he's got this ultimate set of tools. I can fix it. |

Yes, I just did mine a few weeks ago, it is a connector. I disconnected at the connector and spliced the wire for the new generic Bosch sensor in on the bench and plugged her back in. _________________ 88 924S
