|
|
I recently bought a compression tester and would like to use it.
Some parts of the procedure are not completely clear to me:
As I understand now I should
1) run the engine until oil is at working temp 80+ celsius.
2) remove all spark plugs from the (hot) engine.
3) measure compression for each cylinder
4) wait for engine to cool down
5) refit spark plugs in cold engine with the correct torque.
In the compression tester manual it is suggested to take out the spark plugs one at a time and replace them in the hot engine. That does not seem to be a clever idea, or is it?
Best,

I would add:
Remove fuel pump relay prior to testing
Crank with throttle wide open
As for reinstalling the plugs? Phht. . .however you want. _________________ Toofah King Bad
