Anyone who has ever opened a hood pin package knows that the companies totally hang you out to dry on installing the actual pin to the tub. The Aerocatch units we just got don't even mention or acknowledge the fact that fabrication is required on many cars.

So, I am now standing on the precipice. If you have installed hood pins, could you please take a moment to post photos of the brackets or other techniques you used for the pins?

Thanks!

Rasta I hope my solution helps you.

I found this to be the strongest out of the way place for me.

Shane.

I'm doing it the way Vaughan did it on his ITB car (no fab required, just drilling a few holes).

FRONTS: Two pins on either side of the radiator brace, about midway between the hood latch and inner headlight pivot point, as depicted in this photo:

REARS: Two pins just forward of the hinge on the square chassis component at the outer edges of the battery / wiper tray, as in this photo:

I like your end result.
To be honest more work than I would have done for pins but great result on the outside of the car.

The cutting in the bonnet ,sorry Hood.. LOL, looks good too.
Only a quick tidy up required.

I like the look of the aero type pins.
