My car lost it's hood rod pin with a previous owner.
I found the part number 431823397 for it but the dealer
Told me this part is discontinued. Before i got to a pull-a-part
And find the best fit i'd like to know what you guys are using.
I did find a website selling those in NOS but piece was 2$ and shipping was 30$
My mind can't accept to pay more than 10$ for a piece lile that!

You mean that Hood Rod Clip, right?
Used on many awdi/V-dubs up into the zero's.
Press out the white pin and you'll be able to take it off a wreck.
or order two 'cause the short lip tends to break easily.
