Can't say for sure about the 16" tire, but my '87 had 225/50-15 Toyo race tires on 7x15 phone dials with coilovers on front (lowered) and the fenders were rolled and there was still signs of rubbing. I suspect the 16", being taller may give a problem.
For street use the car had 205/55-16 BFGs up front on 7x16 wheels. _________________ '95 BMW 318i/5 ..."Pearl"

I assume the rubbing was under hard cornering? I had 245 on the rear at one time and only rubbed under hard cornering. But in this application it would be street only and up front. So it comes down to if it will rub under street conditions. Thanks!! _________________ Dal Glassinger |

I had 225s on four corners, 16x8 in the back, 16x7 in the front, D90s. No rubbing in the front but the fenders were rolled. Did not hit the coils. _________________ '83 944 Track car.

I am fairly certain the coils are safe but the fenders are my concern. Mine are not rolled and that extra metal could be the killer. _________________ Dal Glassinger |
