I should be good to go as well. I've been driving the 931, so if all goes well no Yota. I have to admit I'm being optimistic though, there is still a large number of bugs to be shaken down... fighting a "buzzing" under the hood but cannot isolate it yet so it has me concerned and my wastegate is sticking... _________________ 1980 931 |

Is the buzzing coming from the frequency valve? _________________ Toofah King Bad

I'm about 90% sure it's the Frequency Valve, but I have not be able to spend time isolating it. Slight time issue with covering for a coworker the last two weeks and am hoping to have a chance to play with it this weekend. But if it is... you have pointers? _________________ 1980 931 |

That was my take as well... However, I'm not sure it's supposed to be working with the keyswitch/engine OFF and warm. I suspect that I'm chasing an electrical gremlin... but I am time limited until Sunday. _________________ 1980 931 |

So far so good. Was correct on the buzzing = Frequency Valve, fault was a fuel pump relay sticking closed after keyswitch off. Next up is the Recirc valve not seeming to function, making shifting "interesting" and maybe a transmission rebuild. However, the possibility is getting good that there might be TWO (Rasta's and my own) functional (semi-functional in my case) 931's there. _________________ 1980 931 |

I'm still planning for this event this summer.
Just wanted to appologize to any of you Portland guys I may have disturbed Sat AM with a very loud and smoky 2 stroke vintage enduro. I came over to PDX for the Alley Sweep and had a blast buzzing 30 miles of your alley ways with 200 other bikers. _________________ '88 924S 3L 6sp RedRat

Hmm, with Derek now having a pair of toofahs, and a couple more runners, could this be the largest toofah gathering in the US in. . .???

Motor is running strong, but still haven't swapped the tank yet. I was waiting for Spring so I could ride the Ducati to work. I spent the weekend organizing the garage so I have room to do the job.
I'm still planning on being there late Friday.
My daughter's B-day is the 6th so I am spending the AM with her and heading your way in the afternoon. I wont be in Portland till that night.
I'll be staying with my brother in law. He is around 39th and Clinton. Where are you guys hanging in the evenings? _________________ '88 924S 3L 6sp RedRat
