after having my heater dissembled and cleaned up all winter, now that I plugged everything back my heater core seems to be leaking coolant into the interior of the car.
It seems to be leaking on the pipes where there is a withe-ish plastic piece and 2 hexa bolts.
I`m looking to replace it with a brand new one as I don`t want to take chances and have to redo this a third time.
Found this on ebay but I`m not sure if it fits as it says only 1982 924
http://r.ebay.com/S0AnXn
It looks quite similar to what I have in my 79 924 but i`d like to be sure before ordering.
thank you _________________ 1979 924 NA |

82 had the 944 heater core. The hose connections are a bit shorter than the 924 hose connections. Good news is that the 924 plastic heater connections will bolt up to the 944 heater core. At least they will on the OEM unit, not sure if the aftermarket unit has unboltable connections. _________________ 1980 924 NA

If this plastic connector is removable and can be plugged to a 944 heater core maybe I simply need to reseal this connector as it seems to be leaking from there. Do you guys suggest simply putting some silicone on the thing? _________________ 1979 924 NA |
