Not sure if this is working. Are these meant to be taken apart? I removed the 4 screws and nuts holding the lid plate on, but once putting back together, the little cylindicular pin wobbles around too much, and indefinetly will fall out of place if the regulator is moved too much.

I will post up a picture later on.

What is a proper way of testing the WUR?

The official answer is that they shouldn't be taken apart but with a bit of care they can be refurbished at home. Many people have done this. Before you dismantle it completely, check that the inlet filters are not blocked. There are several fine mesh layers and even if they seem to be clear and you can blow air through them they may still be causing an obstruction. You can pick the filters out carefully with a sharp tool and clean them properly before putting them back in. As you have had it open already you will most likely have to re-set the cold control pressure. There's plenty of info on here about how to do that - do a search. Check that the heater on the bimetallic strip still works or the control pressure will not rise correctly after a cold start. Good luck.

I had a number of fuel issues and my WUR kept getting clogged due to all of the rust in the tank and lines. I had several WUR's apart many, MANY times. Here's my thread where I made an adjustable WUR with pics. http://www.924board.org/viewtopic.php?t=32582

Not to hyjack your thread but the guy with the '77 924 I'm trying to look at says this car is "cold natured". He says that it runs rough or sputters until it warms up. Then once it reaches normal operating temperature he says it runs fine.

Knowing almost nothing about K-jetronic, I have no clue what would cause this. I'm just curious if this part your referring to would make the car run rough when cold but once warmed up runs fine.

By the way, I've been having problems getting this guy to return my phonecalls. I was going to test drive and possibly buy the car today but he neglected to text me directions to his house and his cell phone number and he is not returning my messages to his house phone. Oh well. We will see what happens.

Maybe it wasn't meant to be.

Has anyone an idea as to where I can get some washers for the Banjo Bolt ports on the WUR? I have searched quite a few sites already with no luck.
