he was alone in the car, he was driving fast, 200+
he probably lost front end traction....i know i did the same(in exactly the same spot) a few years back in my 924 doing 160+ but i got lucky and got it to grip before the car coming from the opposite way came too close.

the car was split in 3 by the impact...you can see the pictures.
the headlights stayed on and the front end of the car caught fire.
he died on the spot, i dont know if he weared the seatbelt....but i guess it wouldnt have matterd going 200+ sideways into the front of a car.

RIP my friend, my brother.

Sorry about the loss of your friend but I don't know how good idea it is to drive 200 kph in the dark?

I don't drive 200kph in public roads even in the day....Even if driver can control the car ok, you never know when someone else is coming from the intersection..

thanks, he was 22
had been driving since he could see above the wheel.
i always told him to take care about that light nosed 993 and going too fast into corners with it.
yes...he made the bigest mistake, to drive very fast, at night, into a curve. and he paid for it...
indeed those speeds belong to the clear autobahn or a track...but even there accidents like this can happen.

morghen, my condolences. Grim reminder of what I told my boys when they started driving...every time you sit down in your car, you're climbing into a death trap, which could be for you or others you encounter. Remind yourself of that each time.

Really sad about the loss of your young friend...hits home because my boys are 23 & 21.

Morghen, I'm sorry to hear about this tragedy. 22 is so young, it's a shame.

I am sorry about the loss of your friend.

I feel worse though for the innocent people in the car that he hit. They could easily have been maimed for life or killed. When you climb into a car you have the responsibility to keep yourself and other drivers safe. What your friend was doing was foolish and reckless. I hope that you and your friends learn from this unfortunate and totally preventable accident.

he has owned the car for a couple of years, i helped him fix it when it had a busted diff, then gearbox.
yes, i've always told him to take it easy with the 993..its not a car to drive like mad.
i've always told him to respect the car, take care of it and to be afraid of it....he took it easy until this week...

Some may not agree with me on this post.
But I feel sorry for the innocent people that he could have possibly killed.

We all have done stupid things throughout our lives, but doing over 200kmph while trying to pass people going around a corner.
That is Darwinism plain and simple.

What I am thankful for is that he was killed on impact/site instead of seriously injured. Personally, I would rather be killed than stuck in a wheelchair, unable to feed myself for the rest of my life.

I hope that this accident sobers everyone up reminding them that the weather is turning, the roads are getting colder, and the grip just isnt there at this time of year.

Thanks guys. i'll miss this guy...he was one of the good guys...if you know what i mean.

Yea, i hope this serves as a negative example for people...at least then he wouldnt have died in vain.

The people in the other car actually walked out of the accident..one of them has a light injury(probably from the seatbelt)

As for him living as a dissabled person...opinions are different for everybody, ofcourse he would have not wanted that...in his place...neightern would have i....but if you look at the pictures you can tell that nobody would have gotten away alive from that accident...the police was looking for the second seat(thinking it flew away)...but they were actually compressed one to another in such a way that they looked as one crumpled seat.
He was thrown out before the car got demolished and compressed.

i still cant believe it...and i still dont want to

Very sad. Really sorry to read this.
We have all seen accidents like this. Most of us have done silly things especially at a younger age, but have escaped death

Unfortunately, It was meant to happen to him.

+1 on this, even if the other people did happen to escape with their lives this time.

Stupid stupid stupid to do this on public roads. Hope that others think twice before doing something similar.

My condolences, Morghen, and/but I echo the sentiments of those who posted above me.

Senseless deaths such as this are frustrating. We had a teenage girl killed on a road near here not too long ago - she was texting and drifted onto the highway from a side road.

A little common sense is all that's needed, but it seems so rare. So the result is tragic.
