any ideas? Really runs awesome otherwise. Fires right up, idles a little smoother with the A/C on(which needs a charge, another topic) gets great mileage. I'm confused.

Check fuel pressure, FPR, damper and AFM per Clark's Garage.

Garage shop manual is HERE.

Your 924S is mechanically identical to an early 944 in most respects, so Clark's procedures will be accurate for you 99% of the time.
