Can anyone tell me anything about these wheels? I have sent a message to the seller requesting info on width and forged/cast but as yet no response.
Does anyone know if they are lighter than stock 14x6 rims?
Cheers

Seems like a good deal ... you even get good used rubber.
Are they lighter than a stock rim do I dont know ... should be lighter than a steel wheel. There small though and that not that bad of a deal though 16 inchers are nice... I mean small wheels make you go a little faster dont they. _________________ 1979 porsche 924 Na

4Jx14??? That's really narrow...those wheels should be super lightweight if they're truly Fuchs. The look a lot like these Carrol Shelby Talledegas.

"Faster" is such a nebulous term...as I understand it, smaller diameter wheel / tire combination allows for quicker acceleration...but that doesn't necessarily mean faster. Less rubber, less contact patch = less friction, but also means less gription...so depending on the use characteristics, less friction could be good but less grip could be bad. Smaller diameter will also have lower top speed. So it really depends on what you mean by "faster". _________________ erstwhile owner of just about every 924 variant ever made |

Also, looking at those pix in the eBay ad again, I don't think they can be 4" wheels with the rubber he has listed. Willing to bet he was thinking 4x108 bolt pattern when he typed up the dimension...much more likely that they're at least 6x14 with the tire widths he's listed... _________________ erstwhile owner of just about every 924 variant ever made |
