VERIFED TO FIT.

FWIW, this is the "early style" tie rod with female threaded outer tie rod ends. . .the ONLY way to use the Elephant bump correction kit.

Rasta so you ordered 2 of the right sides? Or did you order a left and a right?

Is this part (right side) supposed to be a replacement for the tie rod in the 477 419 803 B assembly? I'm not 100% sure what you men by female threaded outer ends; do you mean female tie rod ends, or female threaded ends of the tie rod (different parts)?

I need a new tie rod as I've got a bent one.

The picture looks like it's right, but your description has scared me off so far.

For these tie rods, only the outer tie rod end is different between left and right. They've got a bend to accomodate the wheel at full lock.

As we'd be turfing the outer ends anyway, it doesn't matter to us, as I can confirm the tie rods themselves are identical left to right. If you do order a pair, left and right, at least you'd have a set of ends to give to a 'dubber.

The other option mentioned earlier in the thread (20 mm shorter) has a non-adjustable left tie rod, and all the adjustment is in the right side. But those are too short anyway, so it doesn't matter.

The rod is male threaded, for a female threaded TRE. The part now being sold as the superceded part is the opposite.

One potential incompatibility.

There is no room for part 477 419 827 callout 3A, stop ring, with these new tie rods.

I'm not too sure what they're needed for.

Probably to keep the pinion gear from hitting the end of the toothed section on the rack to protect it. I believe I tossed them on both my cars, but something to keep in mind.

*EDIT*

From 944 FSM:

Probably cheap to have them turned down a bit.

I believe I had ordered mine through ebsracing.com, but it was 2009. If they do not list it, give them a call. My old part number for them may have been POR019838. OCAP. I think this was the inner.
