Mmmm, the car looks good.

What have you done to the rear window, it looks different from normal?

Lexan hatch in 931 hatch frame. It has two vertical alu supports on the outside. I'm planning to connect these together with two horizontal supports on the inside to help reduce the flexing. It also has a "deep" sun shade across the top between the braces. I was worried this would impede with rearward visibility, but you can barely see the bottom of it in the rearview mirror, so no obstruction whatsoever. Matches the windscreen shade up front, and should help reduce some glare coming into the rear compartment.

I know it sounds cheesy but for some reason I'd like to put some of those red Knightrider lights on the front

Seriously though the car looks great.

Also Dan you not only need some dyno results on your engine package but also get it on the scales to see what you have lost during the weight loss. I weighed mine yesterday. When shall we have the weigh in?!

When we did the corner-weighting, Vaughan's uncalibrated scales said dead nuts on 2500#, so with the deletions and additions, I've dropped a net of 279# over factory-listed curb weight (2779 for a S2 euro-spec 931). Keep in mind, those scales were uncalibrated...but nevertheless, that gives us a good idea of where we are. I was somewhat surprised (and mildly disappointed) that the weight reduction wasn't higher.

As for dyno, I reallyreallyreally want to get that done, but funds are really tight right now prepping the 933 (should be in paint booth this weekend), plus the event calendar for June and July (944Fest, Parade, and the Post-Concours D'Elegance Open House). So right now, I'm probably looking at time at the dyno in September or October.

By that time, the 933 should be put together, and I may be able to get five cars there. What I'd like to do is a single baseline run of Spike (bone stock US-S1), single baseline run of the 937 (bone stock 937 spec), and then tuning runs on the 941, CS, and 933. That would make a really nice set of data, but cost will be the determining factor.

So 2500lbs is 1133kgs. Mine weighed in at 1120kgs with 2/3rds tank of fuel on a brand new calibrated weighbridge. As with yourself I've lost a lot surplus weight but gained some back with cage and IC.

What I'd like to determine is that the 1180kg as quoted by Porsche is dry or wet weight and/or inclusive of electric options, sunroof, spare wheel and tools etc or not. In the FSM it also states 1280kgs, is this wet? Is this including options?

Carrera GTS is quoted at 1120kgs with 245bhp. That's my target. Worthy of Club Sport status then I think
