I need to replace the window guides for the doors, Partsgeek seems too high.
Search has not been my friend. Are there any other ones out there that will work
without the word Porsche involved? Seems the price goes up with that word.

Yes, as long as they're not as used as mine
I can't find them on PG or Autohaus anymore,
it's been awhile since I looked.

ok, are you looking for the side window guides, or the ones on the door, where you rest your arm when driving; the horizontal guides, where the window is 'hidden' when lowered?

The ones on the door where your arm is, they seal out water,
where the window goes through.
Sorry, I should have been more specific.

Hey thanks Joe and G. I'm not too worried about it right now.

Going to spend the $ on rear wheel adapters, at least 1 inchers .

Don't know why but I measured twice and the rear is over an inch narrower than the front.

This has been bothering me more than chewed up window scrapers.

"To you,...coming from me,...Porsche is a four letter word..."

Haha, just kidding, that's what I say to my ole lady. It's a Cake reference (a band with a song that says in it"...friend is a four letter word")

But, anyways, I have not tried them yet, I remember seeing them on one of the parts place web sites and it seemed too expensive.

Then I couldn't find it again, then I was wondering if I knew what the heck I was looking at , got discouraged and gave up.

And thanks, I might give that a go to see what happens.

In the UK I use Design911.co.uk they have online parts cats for all Porsches and then use their online parts lookup to check availability. Clearly there must be a US version somewhere

+1 Rich, i always drop the parts department at my local dealership an email when looking for bits. And they are often cheaper than some independent supplier who love to use the word PORSCHE to bump up the price.

They are normally quire happy to help and interested in the old cars, the parts chap i spoke to at Bolton Porsche said he is bored of the 911s and like to see the alternative stuff!
