Leaving Friday afternoon to go fetch this forlorn foreigner currently sitting in a small town near Hershey PA. Will be a tight schedule to get there and back on a single overnight...but, anybody along the route between Detroit and Hershey? We might be able to visit briefly on our return trip on Saturday...

So...it was you who was outbidding me ! Sonuvab...

Oh well, it would have taken money out of my LeMons car fund, so it is probably for the best.

P.S. I know exactly where this place is, it is Annville,PA. I have been there many times. Sorry I am not along the route or I would have met you or gone along to see what you cheated me out of..LOL

Matt, sorry, it was too good of a deal to pass up! We'll see if it's resurrectable soon.

Yeah, it was a good deal ! I am glad that someone here got it ! It looked to be a good project, but I have enough of those already.

Good luck with the resurrection Dan !

Yeah, me too, but I just couldn't pass up a chance to get a Euro-spec. I'm hoping I can keep it on the road. This is why I got rid of the 944 chassis, even though I wasn't quite done parting it out. It was the only way I could talk my wife into letting me get it. I may also end up getting rid of the black 924S if this car is half as good as I'm hoping. I know it's rough in spots, but I think I have enough pieces to put a pretty decent car together between it and the 924S chassis.

If you went out to philly area, I'm sure there would be a few of us in the area to say hi to. That's about two hours out of the way though. probably more with traffic.

This appears to be the fastest / shortest route, although going along I-80 only adds 7 miles and a few minutes...

Hey Dan, you'll be passing within a mile of the cabin after the Bedford exit on the PA turnpike. Don't forget to wave.

I lived in that area for decades and visit it often. To avoid tolls in PA and to enjoy some of the best main road scenery in PA, I would take the 532 mile I-80 route if the weather is good

Yeah, good point Paul...maybe we'll take that route back on Saturday...I'm not leaving Detroit until 4 tomorrow night, so it'll be dark on the way there, and we'll be motivated to get to the hotel ASAP. I spent a year and half in Shrewsbury PA, which is just south of there. Love PA. Beautiful state.

From 69 to 78 we lived in State College, from 78 to 87 we lived on Lewisberry Rd a few miles from New Cumberland, and from 87 to 92 we lived at Lake Meade (East Berlin). I grew up between Philipsburg and Tyrone.
