Magnus Walker selling my old Holbert car via Sotheby's, NR.

Looks like it hasn't changed much since I sold it to him back in 2016. He took out the tartan seats and there's a little paint missing, but otherwise, the same.

Ton of to-fah trannys, turbo parts and other stuff in other lots.

NMNA, but surely of interest to the 924 hive.

P.S. I still have the glove compartment and valet keys. Somehow forgot to give them to Magnus. Obviously, he never needed them but if you happen to be the new owner, LMK and we'll figure something out.

Saw it a few days ago, he seem to be offloading quite a bunch of cars and parts.

I was wondering though about all the parts, how he got his hand on those, but this explains it

Im very curious to where the Holbert and 931 will end up, the 931 he sells isnt very special, not particlary good condition either. And usually the US isnt where these fetch good money normally.

I hope he sells the Holbert car to someone who will use it so it can be seen in the wild!

Any idea what is welded on to the boost pipe? Injector of some kind?

Yeah, that's a 5th injector from Calloway (yes, the corvette people from CT). It has boost pressure control module that goes with it that determines when to turn it on based on manifold pressure. IIRC the module is in the glove compartment. Lights a light on the instrument cluster when active. Keeps the mixture rich when you have the boost turned up...

I looked through the threads on this car and only found one about the output and that's the dyno run where it plateaued around 150rwhp. There was some mention about there being an issue (restriction). Maybe there are more threads about it that I didn't find.

Was that ever rectified? Any ideas on what it does now power-wise?

It's got 500 hp plus worth of rear tire on it so I am curious. I need another car like I need a hole in the head, especially one that needs restorative work cosmetically (door jambs hammered, seats trashed, etc) but...

Yeah, IIRC that 150 number was before we changed the turbo, TB, intake piping and the i/c. It has been a long time but I believe we ended up a little over 200 with some "don't blow it up" headroom remaining. I can't speak to what it does today. It has been more than 10 years since I owned it..., you'd have to ask Magnus.

Strong money, especially for the bone std 931 in not so excellent condition, they usually dont fetch great money over the pond. Cars ended up expensive, but the parts sold were surprisingly good value, even for 911 parts.

So who in there picked up the 5(!) G31 gear boxes for 78 USD?
