Maybe all the ones you've seen for sale are red because the first thing that uneducated people who want "porchas", want a red one, so they paint'em RED as soon as they get em.
And you only see red ones for sale because those same people don't understand that MAINTENANCE is REQUIRED.
So, after they trash they're cars (or give up trying to get them to run), they put them up for sale.
Most 931s are not painted red. And the good ones are not for sale.

I have three 931's. One is two-tone platinum metallic / cocoa, the other two were both originally silver, and as gohim noted, painted red by the previous owner. One of these is my "941", which is painted Audi S4 Brilliant Red (a bit brighter than Guards Red), and the other is my "UWB" project, which will most likely be done in a Gulf scheme when I get to that stage of the build. _________________ erstwhile owner of just about every 924 variant ever made |

Mine was platinum until a previous owner (before Zuffen) painted it guards red.
