Trosian bars work great, but if you going to race the car, the coil-overs are better ! _________________ 937 trackday car

Not in my experience... sorry.
Coilovers are cheaper, and easier to swap out. OTOH, T-bars work just as well, if not better, once set up. The big PITA with the rear suspension is alignment, and going to coilovers does nothing about that.
Coilovers aren't even any easier, IMO, to set right height with, and if you're dealing with a combination of coil springs AND t-bars on the rear axle, it can be a real bitch to get the coil spring preload even on both sides! BTDT, that was last weekend. If you get it wrong, you can have the right corner weights static, but some really different effective rates, if I'm not mistaken, left-to-right, leading to some really interesting handling characteristics!
My 34mm hollow torsion bars are surprisingly light - just not cheap. They're equivalent in rate to a 880# spring in a coilover-only setup. _________________ Vaughan Scott

Given that you are using 87- A-arms with 86' 951 hubs/spindles, do those particular camber plates dial-out all that negative camber? |

I haven't attempted to zero it out, but it doesn't appear that it's going to be an issue at all. It will be a LONG time before I'm worried about an alignment, probably not until next spring, unless something dramatic happens between now and October. _________________ erstwhile owner of just about every 924 variant ever made |

Ok, but for anyone thinking about following ideola's set-up, be warned. Camber-plates are a must not an option.
It's looking good Dan! |

Thanks Dave! Re: the camber plates, you're right, as the Ground Control strut housings do not accommodate the camber adjustment at the spindle, you have to have adjustable camber plates up top:

Joe, this is the closest thing I have to a sneak preview "whole enchilada" shot. As you can see, a lot of the enchilada still needs to be assembled

I can se you're running a getrag gearbox just like the one I do!
So the qeustion is how much power is applyed to it? how much can it handle?
I've got big plans in my mind and I'm a bit afraid about this. |

Have no fear. The G31 is quite capable of higher power output from everything I've read. Raceboy & v8carreragts both seem to have some real world experience with this box on modified power plants, so they're probably the best guys here to ask about the limits.
As for my build, I'm hoping to achieve somewhere between 300-400 BHP (wide spread, I know, but it will be incrementally achieved once the base engine build is complete).
This particular G31 has an LSD unit. I'll be putting together a separate thread soon with the details on my driveline modifications. _________________ erstwhile owner of just about every 924 variant ever made |

I guess I have 016Y or 016Z is there a way of finding that out? but it looks the same and mounts to the torsion tube. |

Dan have you installed the rear sway with those KLA droplinks? Got any pics? I'm thinking the droplinks you sourced for me aren't going to cut the mustard... and the KLA ones seem a good price.
