Here's a bit different approach to some things and to be honest, some facts brought up in this documentary raise some serious questions: http://zeitgeistmovie.com/

What do you guys think about the 9/11 conspiracy theory? I find it very interesting, but I don't know if I believe it. The government doe seem pretty shady when it comes to what happened. Also I read somewhere that some wreckage found at the pentagon was not from the type of jetliner that was crashed into it.

It's pretty clear that plane crashing into those buildings was not enought to bring them down. My good aquintance who is an explosive expert (has a degree in geology and mining. Is it a correct term?) said that it was exactly like a precisely prepared building teardown.

I wonder what is it so big that made US government to cover everything up.

I thought the 911 conspiracy theory was Porsche not making the 931/932 quite fast enough to beat their beetle

Raceboy, I'm guessing if this all was a farce that they aren't covering anything up at all. Many people think that it was to have a reason to go invade Afghanistan. I think the term for this type of action is called a 'false flag' like the gulf of tonkin incident. Also, I think the Lusitania was kind of a similar idea.

I don't think one should take everything as 100% truth and that includes politicians. I personally don't and same applies to conspiracy theories. But some facts are hard to ignore and raise questions. I consider myself open-minded and definitely not a low-education and ignorant type who blindly believes what governments tell you.

I hope you don't find thinking differently embarrassing?

There have been several documentaries that have effectively debunked the conspiracy myths surrounding the events of 11 Sep 2001.

For starters:
http://www.popularmechanics.com/technology/military_law/1227842.html
http://www.debunking911.com/
http://www.maniacworld.com/9-11-conspiracy-theories-debunked.html

Do a google search on "911 conspiracy theories debunked".

Thinking different per-se is not embarrassing, but there are just too many crack-pots out there polluting the world with rubbish which is embarrassing.

There are many more links out there debunking the moon conspiracies too, one of my favorites being this one.

Cheers,

The fact of the matter is there are plenty of people around the world that hate the US enough commit an act like "911". No great conspiracy required for 911 to happen, just hatred.

Sad really, because every American I have met personally has been polite, tolerant and intelligent. Its easy to hate a country when you don't personally know any of its citizens.
