Ah yes, but Jack is alive, and probably coming to a theater near you.

I really like Jack White's stuff too. Too bad he has such a bad temper.

OK, bonus round:
  1. Where is Jack White from?
  2. What make & model guitar does he play?

Jack hails from a god-forsaken land called Detroit, Michigan.

He certainly uses a unique guitar/amp vintage. Then again, any "natural" tone qualities are gonna be lost within the mix of effect pedals he is using i would imagine.

Correct on #1.

The answer to #2 is, of course, the Monkey Wards Airline.

Interesting. . .according to the Rolling Stone, that AirLine was given to Jack by a fan.

He also does some wicked slide work on a Gretsch hollow body. . .one of my favorite guitars.

Not sure which one was given to him by the fan, but he's always had his own Airline, and has been playing it since the early days before he gained wider notoriety. I just thought it was pretty funny that he plays on a $60 monkey wards "toy"! And since then, Eastwood has now released a replica of the Airline!

Rasta, you okay? If I ever had a night where I sounded that bad I'd quit. Or the guys would fire me. What a hack.

Personally, I'm not a huge JW fan, but Rolling Stone listed him #17 on their list of the 100 greatest guitar players of all time

Speaking of which, how they could leave Lindsey Buckingham off that list is amazing to me. Again, not that I'm a huge fan of Fleetwood Mac, but Buckingham propelled F-M to their superstar status, and Rumours remains one of the top-selling albums of all time. You would think that anchoring something...

Slam, RENT THIS, and if you hate it, I'll pay for the rental (and write you off as a soulless cretin )

Dan, Fleetwood Mac's real guitar player was a guy by the name of Peter Green. Pretty-boy Buckinham came in as a package deal with Stevie Nicks and couldn't play his way out of a paper bag.
