Man, that first picture is nice. Gives the 931 some serious visual muscle. Good find Dan! _________________ 1981 931 GT (CGT Intercooled)

I found this website:
http://www.poli-form.com
Sent 'em an email thru their inquiry form. Nothing on the site that says anything about Porsches, but it does mention doing work "for contract". It will be interesting to see if they still have those molds, eh?!
I kind of like that kit...it's sort of a cross between the D-Prod and the GT. In fact, they remind me a lot of the GTS Rally car:

Wasn't the Automotion car in the brochure for sale for many months recently, up in the bay area or $5K or less. I may be mistaken it is the same car, but I think so. The car for sale was dark grey metallic. |

You may be on to something there! As I recall, somebody who looked at it mentioned that the F/G was cracked (which wouldn't surprise me given the vintage).
I'm also now wondering if Automotion licensed or outright bought the rights to sell that wing:

I agree. I think that car was f/s in so cal recently -- several times actually within the past year. Touted as an "automotion project" or something like that. Yes, dark silver. It was on CL I think. Kind of interesting but IIRC, I think the consensus was that it was neat but expensive. I think if you search for "automotion" here on the org you'll find a couple of threads about it.
Might have been a production run of one. Not that this means anything but I've only seen the one car ever.
Neat brochure. Never see that either. Might want to reach out to the automotion car buyer and alert him to its existence. Always good to have documentation on some of these more unusual cars.
Oh, and it looks to me like the wing in the brochure is different than the wing on automotion's site. It is kind of hard to tell from the brochure but that wing looks more curved up to me than the GT wing. |

Looks like the price doubled, from what I recall. |

Dan,
I'm starting to get a bit concerned about the amount of spare time you seem to have _________________ 1979 924 (Gone to a better place)

That kit was made by Polyform. I used the rear spoiler on my first 924. Automotion used the kit on their car. They designed this kit in 1981 (If I remember correctly) before the 944 came out. I thought about putting the whole kit on my first 924 but couldn't swing the cost of the kit and wheels/tires together then.
Polyform makes street rod bodies (still) so they may still have the molds. I talked to the owner some years ago (6-7 ish) and at that time he was willing to make up a kit. Somewhere I have a how to article on how to install this kit. |

Making me wondering where the other converted cars are?
There are at least two others in the brochure. |
