Long time no update; unfortunately not enough time to play with my car .
Anyway here the progress that has been made.
After removing the torsion bars the car got an instant 3.5 degrees of camber . Suspected a lot had to do with the rubber bushings being more then 25 years old. So went with the Elephant racing kit.
The bushings made 1.4 degree of camber difference , am at 2.1 now. Still wondering what can be done to make it less without putting the car higher on its wheels.
A friend, who just got new 5 axle milling machine at his company, was bragging a little about the capabilities of his new tool.... so took advantage of that with drawing up a little challenge in solidworks , here the result.
Turned out he had a very capable milling machine, haha.
Bought new wheels for my 944 and made a test fit on the 924. Think they will look quite nice with a dark centre.
At the moment i'm busy with placing an Audi V8 torsen in a spare S2 box. Still having some issues with the output flanges (the ones from the V8 are too large to fit the axles 100 vs 108mm). Think there must be some Audi driving around with the exact flanges i need (right lenght, right splines and right bolt pattern)... just need to find it

That is progress, especialy with the inlet manifold. Jealous of the 5-axle... Have to say that a dark green premium car in the rain is soooo German. Love it! Nice wheels as well. _________________ Carl Fredrik Torkildsen

I am in the similar situation because I want maximum strength and drilling 2nd pair of holes on the axle flange without too much "meat" in it wouldn't do any good.
I did some searching and it appears that VW Multivan/Transporter has 108mm CV joints and 33 splines like 944 axle slahfts. Just change the inner CV joints and get stronger inner joints and perfect fit.
Other option is VW T4 output flange but that requires some modifying (the flange is separable from the splines and needs some machining for the C-clip to engage properly). _________________ '83 924 2.6 16v Turbo, 470hp

Forgot to add earlier: VAG part number for correct CV joint (33 spline, 108 mm) is 701 498 103, I checked with my local part store and they are readily available for 38 euros a kit (CV joint, gasket, rubber boot, bolts, clamps). _________________ '83 924 2.6 16v Turbo, 470hp

@ all, thanks for the complements .
@ Martijn,
DP is my company. Believe you are busy with modifying your 924 as well? If you want to know what kind of power it makes you are welcome to drop by some time and do a few pulls on our dyno.
@ Raceboy,
Don't know if i understand you correct but the 944 driveshafts have 100mm output flanges. The Audi V8 has 108mm. Have the Audi V8 flanges too, but then i would need to change the cv-joints... according to the information i've gathered it will be difficult to find a cv-joint that is a straight fit.
Had thought about it and would prefer to use the 108mm cv-joints, but at the moment getting the correct output flanges for 100mm cv-joints seems to be the path of least resistance. As soon as I start breaking axles it will always be possible to swap to the 108mm output flanges and make custom axles.
Here a link to some cv info i've found;

See i went over your message too quickly.
Have you tried those cv-joints yourself on the axles? Are they the correct width for the 944 axle-shafts?
If so, PERFECT info . |

I haven't tried them myself yet (will buy them in the beginning of Dec.) but it has 33 splines with the exact diameter (108 mm) and thickness (32 mm). This is a direct bolt-on.

Thanks man! Unfortunately I don't have a 924 at the moment because I crashed it 2years ago. The reason I'm interested is because I'm in rebuilding and modifying (utrecht area) and I like the modifications I saw on the website. Our country isn't that big so it's nice to see others producing nice stuff.
We specialize in the old stuff (1930s etc..) so no extreme power but many custom made internals.
I promise I will visit when I've built my next 924/engine _________________ "Rule: Turbo's make torque, and torque makes fun." (C. Bell)

I was in Netherlands in August 2011 and earlier in Sept. 2010. Stayed in Arnhem (one of our companys plants is in Zevenaar). If I knew you were in Nijmegen, I would come and visit you guys
But I think I will be visiting Netherlands soon again, maybe I'll pay a visit? _________________ '83 924 2.6 16v Turbo, 470hp
