Absolutely sticky this. VERY informative for all, newbies and old hands alike. Dan, you need to get out more

Good work

One comment on the lifter section. . .people should know that when "taking chances" with used lifters, part of that dice rolling is voiding any new cam warranty.

Awesome job, Dan. Thank your boss on our behalf for funding that.

When the new website goes live, this should just be installed "as is" as its own new section.

Great job....but man your obsession with the 924/931 appears to be getting out of hand. Are you still married?

Guys, thanks for all the kind words.

I did put a few hours into this...what got me started was a response to a thread somewhere, and I was like, man, I'm sick of answering the same question over and over, and going and hunting for all the same references. There are some really amazing posts on this board if people would just take a few moments to search. However, problem is, sometimes people don't put meaningful titles, or they abbreviate words (e.g. x-drilled instead of cross-drilled) so it can be tough to find what you're after in a pinch.

I figure this way, this post should come up in pretty much any search query dealing with performance enhancements, and it also provides a convenient place to refer newbs to. Sort of an updated FAQ.

Anyway, yes, I'm still employed and still happily married Sometimes I just have trouble getting my mind to shut down and I can't fall asleep, so I figure I might as well put that time to productive use. I have a very understanding wife, who also happens to be a car gal, so she understands the obsession. A lot of this stuff I have been collecting for some time, so it was really a matter of organizing into a coherent structure.

Anyway, I'm really hoping to get feedback on a bunch of this stuff. I didn't intend for it to be static, so if I missed one of your favorite posts, or if any of the content is inaccurate, please post here or PM me the details and I'll update accordingly. I especially need some help in the suspension section. That is the last piece of my project to come together, so I'm just now getting around to putting some serious thought into it. I plan to sit down with Vaughan and document a plan based on the bits I have already and what I still need to acquire.

Thx for reading guys! Cheers!

Dan, excellent, and your timing couldn't be better.

It's people like yourself that make owning and driving these cars the experience it is. And for a guy like me, who's miles away from any other P-car owners (excepting Mand), this kind of thing is invaluable.

Thanks!
