I searched all morning - it seems like some of the later 924's (mine is an 87 S model) have a mounting bracket, which when removed allows you to mount a 6" round speaker in it's place.

I'm looking to replace the rear 4x6's with a 6" component system, but all I can find is 6.5". Can anyone with more knowledge than me tell me if this size will fit, or if it must be 6" even?

Thanks In Advance.

just to follow up, I dug in last night and removed the speakers - I do in fact have a 4x6 space there for a speaker - I don't want to deal with cutting metal, so I'll stick with a 4" round and adaptor.
