Hi lads,
I am looking for pics of a 924 minerva blue, it is for a present for my bro.
Basically for his wedding I am offering him the porsche I am restoring when it will be finish.
We are far of it so far so I would like to frame it a picture of a 924 minerva blue. I can get mine on a picture it is in the shed in bits at the moment.
Thanks a million for you help.
If some as a picture of a 924 minerva blue, I am up for it. I am googling it for 2 hours this stage, and nothing really good came out.
Thanks again |

This first car is currently up for sale on Craigslist not far from me. The ad says it is Mauritius Blue, but I think that is wrong...I always though Mauritius Blue was the darker blue that my 1981 NA is. Have a look and see if this is what you had in mind:
Here's a 931 in a similar color (I know nothing about this particular car):
Then there's another 931 from this old RennList thread that is purportedly Minerva Blue, but with a metallic finish (click for larger images):
Hope that helps! _________________ erstwhile owner of just about every 924 variant ever made |

thanks to this thread I just found out my 79 924 is actually a 78 as it seems original color was chocolate brown L87A
It is decided now, the car is getting it's original color back as soon as I can!
(car is currently badly painted matte yellow from previous owner) _________________ 1979 924 NA |

IDEOLA, the picture of the turbo with the trash can lid wheels is Monaco Blue same color as my car. It is a nonmetalic color, I hate to say it but Volvo had a similar color in the early 80's. Not my first choice but it kind of grows on you after a while, very 80's ish. _________________ 1980 924 N.A. Monaco Blue owned since 1987

Cool! I think the Monaco blue is a neat color, I like it better than the metallic...I've only seen a few examples in this color. I like it. _________________ erstwhile owner of just about every 924 variant ever made |

Me n/a that I used to drive says minerva blau under the bonnet, but the earlier owner had a weak memory that it was repainted with some ford blue. I dont know if its the minerva or not, hard to tell by pictures..

Out of two tone paint themes this picture is the only one I could find where colours are laid in this manner. We all know what the other style is, it is cool too. But has anyone seen any other colour combination than this silver/red combination? Just planning the near future respray and I strongly feel that is not going 100% Alpine White but two tone of some sort. I like the theme in the picture. If you have seen some other factory colour combination like this, please share!

Well there is one there, thanks! I had a perverted vision of Signal Green over Alpine White. But I think Signal Green is just a bit too light, propably needs to be a slightly darker tone. But that is just one vision. _________________ Mikko

Yes it is cool but sorry I forgot to mention that the original white paint is going to stay. It just needs some other colour to go with it. _________________ Mikko

This is my car, it is an all original Indiana Red car. I got the car from the original owner (still have the from the dealer title) and he always garaged it so it doesn't have any real sun fading. The interior and the engine bay look near perfect and from the dealer too, right down to the original radio. I really wanted a 944 but after seeing this car and finding out its history I had to have it. The 924 has so much personality and I have really come to love the little guy.

Hey folks,
I know it's been a while. Sorry I completely forgot about this thread. I have now fixed the links on the front page, and I'll also see if I can update some of the missing pics on the colors page (http://www.danielboros.com/924colors/).
Cheers,
Daniel |
