finally opened up a photobucket account to upload some pics. stripped the engine down further to clean up and get her running. started to remove some body pieces for cleaning and safe storage. this is a strange car with factory CGT body parts. She's a euro spec 79 that has been federalized. I bought it from a kid in PA who saved it from a junk yard. It was owned by Sam Henry before that who is listed on the registry. He bought it off ebay and doesn't remember who the seller was but he was in New York. Car was imported into the US by a George Evans as per a sticker in the door. If anyone knows anything about this car or perhaps owned it in the past let me know. I would like to know who converted it to CGT body with such attention to detail and factory parts.
8" and 9" fuchs were pirated by a scrap yard in PA along with some big brakes. I installed 944 brakes at all 4 corners and am trying to research what kind of brakes were on it.

note urethane rocker covers. they slide into the standard turbo molding strip. a little blury. |

Hey, Paul. Seeing her again brings tears to my eyes (metaphorically speaking ). Don't screw up like I did and get rid of her. She's a rare bird. _________________ '79 EUR 931 (Modified)

Would absolutely LOVE to hear more about the history / provenance of Paul's car. He and I have chatted a few times on the phone, anything further you can share? _________________ erstwhile owner of just about every 924 variant ever made |

Dan,
got some more work done on her and got more parts on the way. also, awaiting information back from "the factory" on how she was originally delivered. got a contact over there and I gave them the vin#. We'll see what comes back. Getting real crazy with some of the parts...found a good supplier for original metric hardware and the original Norma clamps...check out www.eagleday.com they're a little pricey but I love the little details.
regards,
Paul |

Paul, yes, I've seen the Eagle Day stuff and it is nice...I believe they have the original German style braided vac line stuff too! Anxious to hear what you learn about the car! _________________ erstwhile owner of just about every 924 variant ever made |
