Has anyone had experience with this short shifter?

After some searching I couldn't find anyone mentioning it... which, given the number of short shift posts, I thought was strange.

ive not used one, but have seen them at porscheshop when ive been in collecting stuff and they do look well made. Porscheshop also have a very good reputation, (if a little expensive).. they even managed to send stuff out to me in france when the only address i could give was a description of the ski station and the registration of my camper van.

ive heard they have a habit of promising "next day delivery" on stuff they dont actually have in stock yet, but it always turns up in the end.

they do these too, or maybe they are the same, but with different pic .. who knows..

OK, just bought one - will see how it flys when it arrives.

And the verdict?

I did take install pics, so will dig them out once the renovations at home are done.

However, the brief verdict is that it was an easy install, a little fiddly to then setup (adjusting the nut at the base), with final results that weren't massively obvious. Yes, the throw is shorter - but it's not a massive difference.

You unscrew the "ball-bolt" to raise the shifter to shorten the throw, correct?

Yup! And that's where the fun is. If you go too short the linkage catches on the tunnel back to the gearbox - so there's lots of playing to get it just right. But once it's there it's cool.
