Details, please, details! You're such a tease! In addition to pix, how about some links to the supplier? _________________ erstwhile owner of just about every 924 variant ever made |

What was wrong with the PP one? Did it pp on you? _________________ "..it's made in Germany. You know the Germans always make good stuff."

It did PP on me. Brand new out of the box it leaked, had to be removed, disassembled and resoldered. The small hose fitting on the passenger side is the wrong size (too small). The car now overheats on the track with the "High Performance" radiator when it never did with the stock one.
The PP Autoteknik radiator is an unusable $400 piece of feces.
I'm not bitter, though! _________________ Toofah King Bad

Right before you pack it up, I suggest you take a pp on it. _________________ White 87 924S "Ghost"

Don't know what Rasta paid, but this was the email I got back from them:
| Ron Davis Racing Products wrote: | The replacement style radiator we have is thicker than the stock radiator,
but I don't know if it will keep your engine cool under high boost
conditions. The replacement style radiator sells for $624.87 plus shipping.
Thank You,

This is a few months old, but Howe will do a 924 custom bolt-in aluminum radiator for $500 in low quantities. Theirs is also 50% thicker for added cooling. _________________ 1981 931 (Concours)

*TRACK DAY REPORT*
*****************
Well, finally got the Shagster out on PIR with the new radiator. Short version, this thing ROCKS.
On my first run, I idled the car on pregrid to warm it up, and the temp rose to the middle mark. When we rolled out onto the track, and the Shaggy-floggin began, the temp went DOWN. In the AM sessions, the needle stayed a hair below the middle mark, and never moved. In the slightly warmer PM sessions, the needle stayed on the middle mark.
Keep in mind, the stock rad allowed the temp to get to the third mark while tracking, and the PP rad let the temp touch the red.
This radiator kicks ass. And another sort of interesting benefit. . .it used to be that Shaggy would start acting tired by the 4th (of 4) sessions. . .smoking a bit, idling less smoothly. Also, he didn't run as well as usual on the ride home from the track, just a little rough. Not any more. . .he ran as well on the fourth run as the first, no smoking at all, and purred like a kitten all the way home. I really believe this upgrade has substantially improved the lifespan of my motor and turbo. Next step: INTERCOOLER!! _________________ Toofah King Bad
