Hi all,

Finally got my pilot/spigot bearing out with a dremel and a chisel and changed the torque tube for one that isn't totally messed up. The housing is slightly damaged but generally ok (there is no way in hell that it's is coming out!) so now I need to replace it.

Porsche UK have only one in stock in the entirity of the uk so I was hoping it was a standard SKF bearing.

Does anyone know the dimensions of it? Its a version 2 casing. I think I need internal bore, external diameter and the width of the bearing.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Cheers
Rich

The answer is 21mm OD 15mm ID by about 15mm best I can tell. SKF do several that will fit and they even include a lip seal built in at half the price of the Porsche one.

Rebuild completed! Mostly :?

Won't start, but it was after 10pm and too dark to see what was wrong, pretty sure its sooty plugs as I suspect the crank breather is blocked

I've got to get to the UK National 924 meet tomorrow so I still have plenty to do...

Wish me luck!

Now I'm going to break it again to fit EFi....
