Nick,
The first two vids were from the back end of last years season. The engine was tired, to put it mildly, and the exhaust system had the wastegate running back in, as in the stock set up. This year, the motor was refreshed, although keeping the stock pistons ect. The intercooler was relocated and the exhuast system was run free, with the WG venting to atmosphere.
With the IC relocation, the plumbing became a lot simpler and direct. Also, she has been set up properly now, and is in rude health.
The intake system is totally new, with seperate throttle bodies, as opposed to the twin type from last year. These proved unable to live with the boost. The car is also running a wastegate control system, which clamps it shut until a preset limit. The whine is possibly the turbo being more audible through the open WG pipe, as it is cut off just under the car, 10" from the WG.
All in all though, she is going much better, but next years engine will be a whole new ball game
