Got the valves done ,cam arrived,put on the bigbore,first week of June Ill put it all together.

what is the difference in the audi 5000 tb and the 924 euro tb. Also what is the difference betwwen the euro head and the usa head. combustion chamber ? ports ? valves and related hardware ? cam ?
Is the intake different ? exhaust manifold ?

First the heads the turbo head has better flow than a na head but isnt used because the na intake wont fit I guess you could use side draft carbs on it
2. the tb are the same for the euro and na
but the tb I have is from a rabbit its stamped [rabbit]audi-vw] its the one you want to run you,once installed put the idle screw in all the way retard your distributor a tad then start it & back out the idle screw a few C hairs [about ahalf a turn]
I couldnt get it to idle low enough ] so thats what I did.The diff. is the big bore requires you to port the intake it gives alot more flow.You can just take out the ring on the stock tbs. The cams are diff. |
