I got the job done! I removed my head for a head gasket replacement. Only took me a few hours of work too! Also, along the way, I found out my Auxilliary Air valve was broken, probably my Cold Start Valve, and I found one of my Chambers in my Throttle body was siezed in place. So Good few days for problem diagnosing. (I also didn't break or strip any exhaust manifold bolts/studs!) Enjoy the pics, I know I do!
Before...

After...

This is exactly what I need to do to check the gasket condition, and the general condition of the cylinders. Looks good. I contemplated doing it over the one warm day I had recently, but ran out of time.

Hey, just a quick suggestion...now would be an opportune time to inspect and possibly rebuild the main wiring harness to your starter. I forgot to add that to the "while you're in there" list, but it's something I did when I replaced my head gasket. Seeing the photo of how easy it is to access with the head and manifold out of the way reminded me. In addition to new heavy gauge wires and connectors, I also installed it in a nice firebraid sleeve to provide extra insulation against the heat coming off the exhaust manifold.

I'll second Dan's suggestion: The wiring harness on the NA is a gremlin waiting to happen. The ground straps should be changed, and maybe clean up some of the other electrical connections. It feels good to fix stuff eh?

I love the look of progress...

A thought - this would also be a good time to R&R the engine breather.

Wow thanks for all support and pointers guys! I kinda forgot about the engine breather...i'll have to poor some gas down there asap !

Semper924-Its a good idea. I diagnosed a LOT of problems with mine...now that I look at it, its a miricle that it would even start and idle.

Rich H-It's a 79', so I assume that it is the 110hp model.

Scorpio- I agree 100% the first pic looks a lot nicer!
