Ok..you can see alot of the stuff that came off the car here... amazing!
That big pile of junk laying beside the car is what was left of the carpets and interior.
The last shot is what it looked like under the carpets and under the under coating. BTW...you guys that want to strip it out. Fastest way is withan air chisel..took about 45 mins.

Wow your daughter works quick!
I used a hammer and screw driver - poor mans air chisel when I had to get the undercoating / sound absorbant out. took a lot more than 45 minutes for a much smaller area. |

Yeah..I started that way. I wasn't too sure how solid the floor was. But once I got going I realized the floor was like new...out cam the air hammer....SO much faster! _________________ 1976 924

Hi Adam,
I have a favour to ask. I'm assuming this car had manual windows? Do you see the track on the bottom of the glass in the picture below (in the red box)? Does that come off the glass? Does it clip on or is it glued on?
I'm just thinking about my manual window conversion, and that track looks different to the one on the bottom of my power glass. I'm wondering if I need that version to go with my manual setup. Would you be willing to sell the tracks for left and right? Let me know.

The piece just clips/glues onto the bottom of the glass over a piece of rubber. You might have issues getting the ones you bought to fit your glass. I notice a difference in these manual windows from left to right due to the fact that one door had been swaped from another car. On the right door the window regulator goes onto the widow Via 2 rollers, where the left window uses a roller on one end and bolts to the bracket on the other.
Funny I was thinking of you when I took these apart and was wondering if your door shell has all the holes in the proper postions for the manual regulators... HOPEFULLY! _________________ 1976 924

The reflection from the lights makes it hard to read..but it is LF 424
RF 526 RR494 LR 375
I have the battery over the LR since I am trying to achieve a 55% left side weight (D shaped track) I still have to add in the roll cage, fuel cell and left fender. I am hoping to around 1950 without a driver.

Thanks Adam. Now that I'm at home, I looked again at my car, and the window and track at the bottom looks the same as yours in the picture, one short track, one long track (I also have a third track bolted to the inside of the door). All this "should" match up with the manual scissors I got which have 3 rollers each. We shall see. You may get a frantic PM this weekend asking if you've thrown anything out... _________________ 1987 951 - M193 Version for Japan |

So, what should the 'correct' stock weight be? My guesstimate would be around 2,500 lb. _________________ 1985 Porsche 924 'Lux', Kalahari Beige (my ex)

I would say your right Mike ..must have been around the 2400/2500lb mark before I started.
Don't worry Chrenan..I won't be throwing anything that is good away, I have 2 cars of my own I need to keep in working order. _________________ 1976 924
