I have a cold/hot start problem that I have traced to a faulty thermo time switch. Haynes tells you how to test it but not where to find it or trcicks on how to remove it. I finally found it on the back of the motor on the bottom of the coolant flange but how do you get to it without removing the flange or motor etc.?? Any R & R tricks would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks, John |

I just recently did this. I already had the distributor and ign coil off and the aav out. Even then it was quite a bugger. I highly suggest ratcheting wrenches tho!
Its held on by 2 10mm bolts. then the whole housing comes off and you can remove the TTS. Its really not that bad, but I did have some creative hand contortions.. _________________ [This Space For Rent] |

If you have access to a pit or ramps it is much easier to get to from underneath. Failing that though, as Flosho suggests, remove the dizzy and then undo the 2 of 10mm bolts holding the aluminium adapter on. Its definitely worth the cost of a gasket.
