|
On behalf of Mid-Ohio Region Porsche Club, i would like to take this opportunity to invite you and the 1976 -1982 924/931/924s registry to attend porsches2oxford on saturday july 28th.
P2O was created five years ago as a 'casual porsche party' -- and, it is indeed just that. in 2006, we attracted 220 porsches from ten states and canada -- representing 20 different pca regions. this year we expect to attract over 300 shiny p-cars to oxford ohio.
uptown oxford is the perfect car event venue. with its quaint brick streets blocked off exclusively for our use from 6:00 a.m to 6:00 p.m., its a very unique, small-town location with convenient shopping, food, and lodging. The Elms hotel is located right in the heart of oxford and has a covered parking garage for those spending the night. As the home of miami university, oxford has the infrastructure to handle a crowd of this size.
During the day we will have seminars by both Griot's Garage and Imagine Auto. Additionally, we have a "peoples choice' car show with awards to the top 35 vote-getters. Throughout the day we will also be awarding over $3000 worth of great door prizes. In the afternoon, many participate in the drive to Hueston Woods State Park -- creating in the process the longest moving line of porsches in ohio history. thanks to our many generous sponsors, (including Griot's Garage, Auto Aficionado Magazine and Beechmont Porsche of Cincinnati), the $20 per car entry fee includes a goodie bag stuffed with over $30 worth of items including an event T-shirt and poster.
to see firsthand what a great event, p2o truly is, please take a few minutes to visit our website at www.porsches2oxford and view our 2006 event video. we think you will be impressed with the unique qualities of this event.
If you have any additional questions about p2o, please don't hesitate to contact me. if i can assist in any way in helping to inform your membership of our event, i would be happy to do so.

I hope I can make it! That is about 30 minutes from me.
Fair warning though guys- The oxford police aren't exactly the friendliest people. I got ticketed just last week over there, because I went into a one way parking lot accidentaly, to turn around. The cop wasn't very understanding, even though im from out of town. $130 hurts!

Wow, tha's pretty harsh Ryan, I never have any luck with cops. They just don't understand that we Porsche owners are people too haha.

It's coming up! I'm excited. I will definately be up there, but I might ride up in my father's friend's 911. It depends on if I get my engine rebuild in time.

Well it looks like it's gonna have to be next year for me boys. I just realized that the band I play in has a show that very same day! Why does this always happen?!?!

I wish I could make it but sadly I can't.
I need lots of pictures, especially of any 924 Carrera GT's! _________________ Bob Ward
