I'm looking into a set of these for track day wheels, anybody have issues with offset? is that why I haven't seen them?

im in the same boat. i want clubsports for track wheels, but i'm afraid that they will rub up front on a lowered car. my 6.5 in wide cayman wheels come very close with the required 7mm spacer.
here is what i THINK i know:
-without a spacer they will rub on the front coil (i have coillovers so i'm ok here)
(this comes from info on running 7in wide trash cans)
-with spacers they may rub on the fenders of a lowwered car
(this comes from my experience with my 6.5 in wide caymans that are close)
so if your lowered and dont need spacers your good and if your stock height spacers should make them work, anything else and ya may be boned.
like i said, this is speculation at this point. i will let you know more as a research...

alright my caymans are a 17x6.5 et 55
clubsports (7in wiide) are 16x7 et 60 (according to vw guys)
this means the clubsport would have 11mm less clearance on the back and ""stick out" 1mm more than what i have.
this should fine on a stock height car but a small spacer may be need for spring clearance.
on a lowered car you would probably be fine with a spacer if you stuck to a 205 tire. if you wanted to run a 215,, you probably would need to remove the spacer and you may rub your coils (unless you have coilovers) _________________ 17in caymans, koni yellow coilovers, hypercoil springs, kla solid upper mounts, 968 sway bars, kla drop links, kla strut brace, fidanza flywheel, dansk catback, wilwood front calipers, ss brake lines, e-codes, 944 duckbill, manual rack,momo steering wheel |

Strut was fine, steering rack was fine, wing (fender) was fine, wishbone (A-arm) was the only thing other than the rim that was damaged. I don't have the wishbone any more but it tore and folded.
I hit a rock about 5" high at about 60mph
I know that some people like these custom wishbones
but they are too strong.
I like the pressed steel ones. They are the weakest link. If i had had one of these fancy ones fitted i would have caused structural damage for sure _________________ 924 N/A 2 ltr 5 Speed (1984) UK

15" 7" Cookie cutters, Et 23 if i remember correct. Track friendly camber (-2 or more) is recommended for the fit. Works really nice at the track with toyo r888 205/50 15. Rear spacer removed.
Just bought 16/7 flat dishs really cheap, i hope i wont have to big problems up front. Maybe some small spacer will fix that, that i will found out later this week  _________________ ´79 924

924s look great with Cookie Cutters. The factory should have offered a staggered 6X15 and 7X15 fitment as an option. While I really like the look of D90s they look a bit too modern for my taste.

Mille Miglia Cup I replicas. 7.5"X17", 53.2 offset with 205/50/17's all around. Looked good, but they weighed a ton.
Late offset 951 (944 turbo) phone dials. 7"X16", 52.3 offset with 205/55 front. 8"X16", 52.3 offset with 225/50 rear.
2002 Boxster wheels. 7"X17", 52.3 offset with 205/50 front. 8.5"X17", 55 offset with 255/40 rear (these rubbed a bit).
Late 944 wheels. 7"X15", 52.2 offset with 205/60 front. 7"X15", 52.3 offset with 215/60 rear.
931 Spiderwebs. 6"X15", 52.3 offset with 205/60 all around.
And finally, my current wheels. They need to be refinished, but I really like these. 928S4 flat dish. 7"X16", 65 offset with 205/55 front (with 6mm spacer). 8"X16", 52.3 offset with 225/50 rear.
I also got a great deal on these 996 wheels, 17"X7" and 17"X9", but I didn't have the guts to put them on the car.
