Just bumping this to the top again to see if anyone knows off the top of their head. The parts catalogue is no help. _________________ 1987 951 - M193 Version for Japan |

Hmm, I'll have to investigate further I guess, strange that 2 people would get 2 different sizes, I though the oil pan was the same throughout 924 development.
Does anyone know what temperature the oil runs at in a 924? I've heard 180 F, but I amy be way off. I was going to get the 150-300 degrees F gauge with the 300 F sender. Make sense? _________________ 1987 951 - M193 Version for Japan |

I have an Oil sender in my oil drain hole. Its a VDO sender and the max is arround 180 degrees Celcius. The oil gauge is a normal VDO Vision. _________________ Porsche 924 Euro 1977 |

Is 180 the max on the gauge, or the max you see when running the car? What oil temperature does the car get to while running? _________________ 1987 951 - M193 Version for Japan |

mine runs around 85 celcius... although some people regard max power is achieved at a slightly higher oil temp...
Pretty sure my bolt hole was an M14 X 1.5 too...

The maximum of the gauge is arround 150..
When i drive it normal under normal conditions (20 degrees celcius temperature) the oil is arround 85-90 dregrees). When i drive quick (arround 180 or rev it high) it is arround 100 dregrees. With outside tempertures of 32 degrees the oil is arround 95 under normal driving. _________________ Porsche 924 Euro 1977 |
