I just got my edis advance table tuned a bit today. I'm curious what other people who've gotten their edis systems working are running.

And for those of you interested, here's a datalog.

That's pretty close to mine but you are a little more aggresive below 2000rpm than I am. I am going to wait till I get some sort of knock detection before I tune further. If you still interested I will try to post what I have.

I take it you have gone MS. Are you injected yet?

I'm definately interested in what your running. I havn't got injection going yet I wanted to get the EDIS going and tuned properly before doing fuel. And I still have to install the tps on my throttlebody, just have to finish the mounting bracket. I've been running EDIS only for a couple weeks now.

EDIS = Electronic Distributorless Ignition System. It means people running it don't have a distributor anymore, and they are able to map the ignition advance in a table like what I posted in my first post.

I suppose I could post some pictures of what I did. Didn't really think anyone would be interested honestly. I'll pull the car into the garage tonight and take some.

Here is an older map I have. I am boosted so it will be a little more compact than yours plus I am running MJLJ wich only supports 10x10 tables instead of the 12x12 that MSnS uses. I have actually pulled back some of my timing above 3000 rpm on my newest maps and have spread them out to 200kpa for anticipated boost at a later date. I fully realize these are quite conservitive numbers but I feel I can tweak these later if I feel I need more power or fuel milage.

I'm actually running a megasquirt II with v3.0 mainboard, which supports 12x12 for spark and fuel maps. The map I posted is pretty much a copy/paste from a excel spreadsheet someone posted on the megasquirt forum for determining a good 'starting' map. So its interesting to see what your running, did you notice any problems running 39 degree's advanced? I tried a map running 32 degree's advanced at 100kpa and slowly upped it to 34, I havn't tried anything higher than that yet. Was being cautious.

I run 35-40 kpa at cruise and only 85kpa key-on engine-off. I am at 3500feet elevation. Looking at my map again it looks a little screwy. I know before I boosted I was running 38° advance at 3000 rpm with no noticable problems even with the higher compression. I got a little scared though after seeing pictures of Nick's first engine. It looked like someone took a ballpeen hammer to the piston tops and he says he never heard the detonation! I did try once upping the timing at low rpm's and moderate loads (60kpa or so) to see if I could detect the ping and I couldn't. Let caution be your guide.

I'm running a megasquirt II, endwrench and macbdog are running megajolt. They both use map sensors to determine Kpa. We're running ford EDIS systems. www.megasquirt.info for more information on the megasquirt.
