Rocker Panel Color

I'm getting ready to paint and was wondering if the rocker panel/lower fender color on my 77 is supposed to be flat black, semi-gloss/satin black, or gloss black.

My rocker panels are painted flat black. Now, this may be because the paint is 25 years old on mine. So I'm not real sure on the spec for that. Can anyone point us to the right specs for the paint colors? i.e. the colors for the rocker panels and paint scheme for the car?

Mine's an 82 and the panels are mat (flat) black. Isaw a car where they matched the rest of the paint and it looks very good.
