|
|
I"m replacing my coolant hoses and there is one hose under the wur which goes to the coolant flange (not directly but conencts to a small metal pipe with temp sensor for egr first).
I can't remove the hos4e without removing the wur first. the wur is attached to teh intake manifold with 4 bolts? and the two top ones are easy to reach and but the lower ones I'm not sure how you would reach them?
also when you remove the wur do you need to replace any gaskets?
I'm not sure if its worth it, this is the last hose behind the engine that I need to replace (I just want to replace the clamp on this one) but if its too much trouble I'll just leave it on and hope the clamp it ok....
actually for the coolant hose that goes from the coolant flange to the heater core I couldn't buy a replacement I've been waiting for 6 weeks now and they finally phoned me and said they could not find one in Germany either! so now I have to use the old hose which I cut a little short to extend (broken heater flange) and on the side that attaches to the coolant flange its all pitted in some parts looks like half way through the rubber but I don't have a choice now but to reuse it. _________________ 78 924 sold.

I also have another question about the flexible hoses for the EGR system. I have a missing ones (the one that goes from the throtle housing to the distributer. i'm not sure if you can buy a a similar hose from auto parts stores. I'm going to check tomorrow. _________________ 78 924 sold.

this is an underlated question but I don't want to make another thread so I'll post it here. when I washed my engine about a month ago I didn't cover the flywheel window on the back of the engine and I just thought that water may have gotten in there, maybe lots of water... how would I check.
thanks. _________________ 78 924 sold.

to remove the WUR you use 2 wrenches, and 1 allen key
if you wish to know what sizes they are thats extra _________________ 3 928s, |

I don't have an allen wrench but I have allen keys. I just see one allen style bolt and I see a 4 bolts that have a philips head and like I said the bottom ones I don't see how a wrench could fit in the tiny space.
Ill look again tomorrow when it isn't so dark. _________________ 78 924 sold.

never mind I thought you meant an allen bit which you can use in a ratchet.
are you sure they are all the same? like I said on mine it looks like it is held on by 4 bolts with a phillips head. and then there is one allen bolt going through it on the top. _________________ 78 924 sold.

no, I'm not going to remove the screws.
I'll look with a bright light for the 12/ 14 mm bolts, I see the allen one. _________________ 78 924 sold.
