| There is a little electronic cylinder next to my fuel distributor that has to wire that go to it, from what I've read it is a frequency valve that is supposed to adjust fuel pressure according to the oxygen sensor. Now my problem is that the previous owner did an engine swap into this car and apparently used an engine from a newer car since my '78 NA has no oxygen sensor. I'm wondering if this is going to cause any problems or can i just remove the valve and plug the hole? |

My 79 Euro parts car has that thing too. No o2 sensor on that either. Might want to check further before hacking it out.

As long as you aren't getting a signal from the O2 sensor box the frequency valve will not have an effect on the air/fuel mixture. Since the valve works as a gate just pulling it and plugging the hole would cause it to lose control pressure and starve your engine. The best plug is just leaving it in place.
