So is there a group buy happening here?

Group buy or not, I'm definitely in for at least one set, maybe two, once we confirm price, availability, & fitment.

Guy's,

I'm not sure this is worthy of a group buy. Once i have found the ARP part number, you are free to source these as you need them. They are not a one-off, or special build item. The studs i used are standard fare for the Ford Cosworth engines here in the UK. Not uncommon at all.
So th ebest thing we could do perhaps, is make a sticky in the technical section that lists uprated parts and their reference numbers and suppliers.

Have you got a motor apart, Dan? You could complete the spec sheet on the previous page and send it in. . .

Thanks Steve!

Rasta, yep, I have two disassembled 931 motors, BUT I don't have the correct tools to provide the measurements required on the sheet...it sounded like Steve was pretty close, so I just wanted to make sure this didn't fall off the radar with the board going down and everything. Of course, if you want to send me a full set of blueprinting calipers and gauges, I'd be happy to take all the measurements we need

I think I'm seeing a little lip just inside of the threads on one end of each of the ARP studs, and it's the end with the coarser threads, so that's the block end.. Does this mean the studs have to be installed to the block before the head is put on? (Yes - if that lip it too wide to fit through thehead.) -And if yes, I think it would complicate matters when trying to remove the head only while leaving the engine in the car. No? (It would depend on just how wide that lip is.)

Smoothie,

No fitment issues. the studs slide right through the head, so no need to worry
One word of advice though. If you intend to strip the motor, and reuse the studs, buy a pot of the ARP assembly lube as well. Much better than using motor oil, but sticks like sh*t to a blanket!!

I did a bit more searching and the summit pricing seems about right for a set. There are other places that are only a couple bucks cheaper but perhaps not as reliable, summit is a good source and I've gotten alot of stuff from them without issues. Might be able to find a cheaper source with some more extensive searching though, I just poked around a bit.
