Hello -
I was wondering how much a complete 924 engine weighs?
I need to know because I'd like to get one shipped.
Thanks much!

Haynes quotes the bare weight as 165kg (364lb). |

When you say a complete engine,do you mean intake man. exaust man, base pan etc. My bare block and head weigh in at roughly 200 lbs.

according to the itty-bitty tech spec book, the 165kg figure is for the dry weight of the turbo engines. The NAs are 135kg (Euro) and 142kg (US).
I'd take it from that that these figures are with all the stuff that bolts directly to the engine. So you're probably looking at 140kg. I'll leave you to do the conversions. |
