| Is it possible to put twin turbos and twin intercoolers on a regular 924? |

It's possible to do anything, with enough money.
But why would you want to do it? The engine isn't big enough to benefit from a twin setup.

YA could do it, But why not just drop a 944 turbo motor in the car?? It would be alot easyer but you would need the ECU from the 944 too. I have always wanted to convert my 924S to a turbo but I would need to rebuild the motor with 944 turbo parts so it will hold together with the boost. As for a 924 turbo with enought playing around you can get those motors to pump out a good amount of power.

down here, the hot upgrades for twin-turbo cars like the RX7 series VI and the newer Nissan Skylines is to replace the twin turbos with a single proper sized turbo.
The twin turbo implementation seems to be basically flawed because of the plumbing and control required to direct exhaust gases towards one turbo for the first couple of thousand rpm and then gracefully switch the exhaust flow to a second turbo so the turbo changeover feels seemless - just doesn't work.
Of course, if you're thinking about using two small "always on" turbos rather than one larger one you need to consider the cost of two turbos and a custom manifold and splitting your exhaust equally and why no production performance 4 cylinders do it. With the way the 924 engine is positioned, it's hard enough trying to get one turbo down there.
As for twin intercoolers, why bother. One large or two small, amounts to the same thing assuming that the smaller 'coolers have half the heat dissipation of the large one. There's lots of room in the nose of a 924 to fit one large 'cooler once you throw away the air-con |
