So, getting towards mid-season in the F1 and Ferrari are way down the table Schuey's got less than a third the points of Alonso, who's leading.
How quickly it changes, eh? Even our man Ken-doll is beating Schuey by a couple of points! Pity Webber's not doing so well in the actual races... he's a gun in qualifying.
And Kimi seems to be right up there. Fastest in testing this week by a long way!
They're off to Canada this weekend. Anyone here gonna go watch it? Then they're at Indy the weekend after. _________________ '80 924 Turbo |

| I want to go to the Canadian GP next year. I won't want to this year dur to the Ferrari situation. I only want to waste my money if "we" win. |

I'm going to the Indianapolis event, it's cheap when compared to Melbourne!
Good grandstand seats are $85, admission is $60 for the entire event! |

I expect to spend $500 for tickets and a 2 night stay in Montreal. I won't be taking the 924 though. The chance of Schui jumping in my car instead of his is just too great. |

Yeah, yeah... make me feel worse why don'tcha? Bad enough I can't go to the race.
But Melbourne maxxes out at about 80,000 for race day... what does Indy get, like, half-a-mil? Economies of scale... _________________ '80 924 Turbo |

Well, The Circus earned its name this weekend, eh?
What a shambles!
Did you end up going, Paul? _________________ '80 924 Turbo |

| Khal: What happened? I heard some driver's pulled out because of a controversy over tires, or was that some other race? |

In a nutshell, Ralf Schumacher had a blowout and crashed fairly heavily. Was subsequently found that the particular Michelin tyres supplied weren't up to job of handling the high-g banked turn then the belt down the straight. So, in the interests of safety, Michelin announced that the teams shouldn't run with those tyres. A solution was offered to insert a chicane in (or just before?) the banked turn to slow the cars down. But that was rejected by the F.I.A., apparently.
It all went to pot from there...
