Mike B, you are most welcome. I didnt mean that in any harsh way.

Just seems to be considerable confusion over several points. I am long winded and not exactly user friendly. So forgive me if I came off being harsh, that was not my intent or anything else like it.

Moving on....

My 944 has seen about 6 different boosted configurations, all supporting various levels of boost. My old 924 NA long ago, was turbocharged by me as well. My current 924 is a 931.

In the case of the turbo installs (kits I could make) turbocharging a NA seems to be a sin or seen as such a bad taboo... although in my case I find it to be rather cheap to do. Just to much bad press with everyone claiming you should by a 951, which is total BS.

Once I finish the supercharger, I may offer up the turbo conversion, heck the 2.5 liter stuff has seen a few years of use.

Selling a complete conversion kit, in turn lets me go after other cars and to also offer a 924/944 turbo kit for the brave soul who wants to go against the mainstream.

Plan to bring back the Callaway and BAE stuff with a new look and better support ware. K.I.S.

The supercharger seems to have more appeal and I am really just using the 924 and 944 as test mules to build a universal smaller supercharger.

These core concepts:
"You can boost anything that has a combustion engine"
"Their is a subsitute for Displacement it's called BOOST"
"Everything goes better with Boost"
"Build a quality product, do it right, take my time and toss it out their for the masses, affordable and adaptable to anything under 5 liters, regardless of cycle/stroke."

Mike -- yea budy sure do, here is the latest on the Supercharger:

Well I have sold a few of the basic units and a few kits, currently they are being or are currently installed on the following:
88 S10 Blazer 4.3 engine – no data yet – 5th injector supplied
96 Berretta 3.1 engine – no data yet – Water Injection Supplied
69 VW Bug – 2332cc built motor, 207 HP/189 FT-LBS, counter shaft setup, with a 4 barrel carburetor in draw thru configuration. Had to modify housing to accept a setup similar to early Buick T-Type. Running rich, needs to be tweaked.
87 924S 2.5 engine – no data yet
80 Mercury Capri RS 2.3 engine - original non-turbo, NA pistons - 232 WHP/256 W FT-LBS, EFI 5 PSI – needs to adjust Belt Tension, using a spring loaded tensioner. - Water Injection and 5th Injector supplied.
Other Work:
00 Cougar 2.5 engine – prototyping

That’s about it. No copies of dyno runs, no photos from anyone yet. I am hoping to get some.

So wait on a kit, like everything to mount and install the supercharger, Or get a supercharger and sort out your own fuel and timing.

I will also eventually offer a header, intercooler and other related options.

Over on Pelican someone brought up the belt being a weak link:

To address the issue of the belt, sure it’s a weak link, so is the external belt, belts always are. Period! If it wasn't 44 owners wouldn't cringe at the mention of the words "timing belt failure".

Whats funny, is that timing belts are stronger and more durable, capable of heavy stress loads, than other automotive belts, but its a timing belt that fails, not an alternator belt...

I haven’t lost an internal belt yet and that’s spinning the Supercharger up to over 80k for sustained speeds, something the end user isn’t likely to do.

In other words the belt is more than adequate for the job, like everything else its over engineered. I could run a higher internal ratio and still not max out the bearing or the belt.

I am looking into using Kevlar or fiber belts, but that’s another expense.

I am no big manufacturer.

I will say this: If I can make it better, fore less I will and I will pass the savings on to the end user!

Can I promise that, nope, have no clue how expensive stuff will get, considering everything I buy from raw materials on up has to be delivered to me or to who I buy it from and we all now how prices are rising do to gas prices, etc..

Look at the prices of a new Vortech, Paxton, Powerdyne, etc… 1.5k + for the supercharger, not the kit.

Only way you can beat my price is with a used unit!

I am saying, you buy used you get what you buy, you get something I built, you can bet its something I will use or am using on my car.

This is supposed to be a hobby for me not my life.

Beauty in my eyes is that, I am real, you can reach out and talk to me, meet me at events, hands on kind of stuff.

I am one of you, I didn’t come to the forum to advertise my ebay adds or some such, I been around a while and I am often to free with information.

If you think my supercharger is the cats meow, great if you don’t… so? I built it you didn’t so go suck an egg. Hahaha

Ssssseriously your entitled to your opinion, if you can do it better then do it! If you can’t… I will send you a lemon to suck on.

Still a belt failure is not catastrophic, it means you loose boost… that will not kill your engine only your fun.

Belts are quiet, more so than gears. I build both versions, their are pros and cons to both

I am constantly either redesigning or building something better, not just for me, but for everyone, I mean come on people. I want a supercharger or turbo under the hood of every car, I am a boost fanatic…. and everything goes better with BOOST!

Mike -- you get a chance you should email me or PM, I can discuss anything you like.

Also I thought you where looking at the BAE kit that Mark/my924gtc has, probably for your sons 924? Not a bad choice, excellent for boosting a 924.

Anyway drop me a note or something.
