After two long months, and with ALOT of help from friends, I'm back up and runnin' again!
New head gasket, new injectors, new alt, new water pump, new vacuum hoses, and everything freshly painted. I'll post pics as soon as I get my new headliner installed.
Need to do a little fine tuning with the fuel mixture, but she's starts right up and idles steady...a few more test drives and I should be able to iron out the kinks. Now to chase down the last of those electrical gremlins (defog and washer pump), put in new hatch struts, and install the rear spoiler! _________________ erstwhile owner of just about every 924 variant ever made

Couldn't resist, it just looks so clean and pretty now! I'll do complete photo with hoodliner later...here's how the engine looks now:

Heheh, just wait 'til I get the heat-resistant foil hoodliner installed!
Seriously, the silver and blue does seem to really pop. The houndstooth seat inserts give it a silvery look inside, and even our generic blue MI license plates go well with the whole package!
Once I get the rear spoiler installed, I do a complete set of pix and repost... _________________ erstwhile owner of just about every 924 variant ever made |

LOL I know, it bugs me, but tearing into the brakes right now was more than I wanted to get into. I may still tape off everything and blast it with some flat black just to clean it up, but I ran out of time to do it before putting the head back on.
I'd really like to upgrade to 5-bolt and then take care of the lines, booster, and such while I'm at it...but I also want to get out and drive it a bit too! I'll wait until the master cylinder goes and then upgrade the brakes at that point. I'm sure it's close to being next on the list _________________ erstwhile owner of just about every 924 variant ever made |

C`mon. Its not that hard...and its not as complicated as you think. You will have to bench bleed the master cyl...do this part right, and you won`t have to crack a bleeder.
Do the aforementioned first, then clean up those upper perches. |
